End of U.S. Tour/Australia and New Canadian & U.S. Tour!

Hi Everyone!

I'm doing my blog from Melbourne Australia and what a busy time it has been!

After our tour of the States, we got a little bit of time off and got to catch up with family and friends.
It was an amazing tour and quite intensive taking in a lot of cities and getting to meet all of you lovely supportive people along the way!

It was also our last tour with the wonderful Alex who we miss dearly. It was an honor to work with her and it is wonderful to know her as a friend. I wish her the very best in everything and I know she will be brilliant in anything she does in the future as that's her way, she's a diamond!

We then came to Australia a few days ago and have been on a whirlwind promo trip here for our first ever tour here in October! Lots of radio, TV and press interviews have been the norm and it's been hectic and fun! Last night we did the 'Hey Hey It's Saturday' live show even though it was a Wednesday! It was really great and we loved singing and playing with the house band. We go home tomorrow evening and it's bye for the moment to everyone here until October!

We will have a few days at home before we head off to Canada and the States for our next tour and we are really looking forward to seeing you all again! It's almost like going home for us at this stage!

We will see you all then and how great will it be to have the last concert of our next tour in Red Rocks again?! It has to be my favorite place to play, so special!

See you all very soon!

Le grá,

Máiréad.

  1. Thanks for the update Máiréad! 'Glad to hear that you enjoyed the little bit of time off that you had, and that you girls are having fun in Australia! I'm looking forward to seeing you all again here in Canada in August! I was one of the humming audience members at the Calgary show in May, and I think I can speak for everyone in that arena that night when I say it was something none of us will ever forget! It was an honour to be a part of it! This time around I have front row seats for three shows (Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon), so I'm looking forward to some more wonderful moments! See you all then, tell Alex we'll miss her! God bless,

    Amy Lynn :)

  3. Dear Máiréad,

Hello! It's wonderful to hear from you! I was able to see some videos of your time in Australia, you all were wonderful as always! Enjoy your remaining time off, and safe travels as you return to us here in the U.S. Unfortunately I will not be able to see you this tour, though I will be there in spirit. It caught my attention that you'd be touring in Montana this tour. I spent my early childhood years in that state, in the tiny town of Cut Bank. I was 1 when we moved there and 10 when we came out to Illinois. So it struck a familiar chord when I realized you were going out there. Enjoy your time in Montana. Take care, and once again, safe travels. You're all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!

    Jeanine

  4. Máiréad,

It is so great to hear from you. I hope you have had a wonderful time in Australia prmoting the tour. I imagine it must have been strange doing promotions with only the 4 of you since it has always been 5. Alex was a great addition to the group and will be missed by many.

I hope you get a little rest before heading back for another round of touring here in North America and I look forward to seeing the show again in August.

Safe travels to all of you,

    Destiny

    Take care and best wishes,

  6. Cannot wait for Red Rocks! I've never seen you all there before and I've heard so much about how cool it is. The last time I was at Red Rocks I was 4 years old, so needless to say I don't remember, lol! I'm really looking forward to it! See you in Sept! :)

  7. Dear Máiréad,

It truly has been a whirlwind for you. A long and extensive U.S. tour, catching up at home, then a blizzard of activity in Oz!! BTW, you met Liv's dad Kim at Penrith and you'll see Liv in October! Now back here again soon!! You are simply amazing in your energy on stage and off. I and others look forward to seeing you again straight away in New York state for a few shows. It will be a wonderful tour and no better place to wrap it up than here in my home state at Red Rocks! You'll get quite a reception as always!!

I and others will miss Alex very much. You are right that she is a diamond!! She has won many hearts out here who will support her in whatever endeavors she pursues just as we do you and the others. We are all anxious to see what David has done with the show now that you are a quartet.

Thanks so much for your never ending devotion to the music and to your audiences, and thank you for taking the time to blog. To be away from home for so long for so many years has to be a great challenge. You have touched so many lives so deeply in the process and you are so much admired, respected, and loved. Safe travels, God's blessings, and I look forward to more amazing moments from you.

    All the best, Scott
