Hi Everyone!
This is my new blog!
It gives me a chance on the road to keep you all up to date on our new Celtic Woman tour Isle of Hope.
We had a great night in Evansville Indiana last night with an invited audience to our first Isle of Hope concert. It was great to see so many familiar faces there from our fan forums to the PBS stations!
I had a great time doing the new numbers as well as some of the numbers from our previous tour that I know you all love as much as us.
Everyone was really happy with the night which has been the culmination of months of hard work from everyone involved.
We are now in Minneapolis St. Paul for our first concert on our six month tour in the the XCel Energy Arena tomorrow night.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone an keeping you on to date here also!
See you at the concerts!
Le grá,
Máiréad.

Mairead,
ReplyDeleteI was privileged to be among your fan forum members on the front row of the Evansville show February 11. We hoped our presence would be a lift to you and judging from your performance, we were! As you might guess, you have not seen the last of us this tour! We're with you all the way!

ReplyDeleteWarmest greetings, Dear Lady.
Glenn, A.K.A. The Rotten Rebel here. I am again so excited for you.
Hope you remember me, out of the millions of fans. I met you May 17th.08 At The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. In what they call "The Hospitality Suite."
I showed you a photo of a portrait I sent you a few years back. You recoginised it, and said you had it. I was so blessed to see you that day, I went to tears. You signed my program, You gave me a hug. I was in Heaven!
I have tickets for April, Same place. Trying to get access to The Hospitality Suite again. Not sure I'll make it at this point. If I can see you there, I will have a porcelain rose in my hands, a smile on my face, and tears of joy in my eyes.
I am a proud memeber of your Forum Web Site.
You have brought so much joy into my life, just by doing what you do.
I owe you, the biggest hug! You make my every day, such a joy, and a blessing. Everyone on your Forum, sends their blessings as well. I do hope to see you again.
Sincerely, and respectfully yours,
Glenn, A.K.A. The Rotten Rebel
Máiréad, It was an honor to see you and the rest of Celtic Woman again after almost a year wait (hard to believe it has been that long).
ReplyDeleteThe Show in Evansville In. was awesome and it was an honor to be there in the front row with other members of your Forum.
Look forward to seeing you again in Wilkes-Barre Pa. and Baltimore Md. to name a few. Expect some gifts this time.
This Blog is a great idea and works well with your website and forum. Look forward to more "tales from the road".
Best wishes

Hello Máiréad! :D
ReplyDeleteI just wanted you to know, that the last few months i have been very inspiret by your playing meothods, sound etc. :) you've made me wanted to take up the violin again and play! (finaly found my inspiration, now i really know what to be playing!)
Another thing which i really would like to know is, some stuff about the violin you're playing on, in the Celtic Woman shows... stuff like: How old it is, What Size it is (1/2-3/4 or 4/4 maybe even bigger), Is it hand made or "Machine-made"? ... maybe this is an easier way of saying this ;)
--> i would really like to know pretty much everything about your violin/bow ;)
oh yeah! last thing, the meothod you're useing on your bow (by holding like between the start of bow and middle(groundset is often at Start of bow), is that your own? or is it called something else ??
Answers/replys to: Hexxfire@hotmail.com or on this blogsite ;) please :P
Best thoughts and Whishes:
