Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to send one last blog before the Holidays and wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving coming up.

As you all know, the Australian Tour just done is our last tour with the lovely Lynn. She has a lovely message at which I'm sure you have all seen.
Her elegance, purity of voice and fun loving personality will be missed by everyone and I wish her the very best of everything in the future. You never know, she might come out and visit us on tour!

It's a busy time coming up with some recording and promo to do nearer to home in the coming two weeks so look at the Celtic Woman website for updates and to my own website for some new pics!

On another note, I wanted to let everyone know, in case you have been swayed by some strange posts on my guestbook in the last few weeks, that I have never been more happy than I am now. These posts have been removed as it is a guestbook for relevance and truth and is always seen by me, friends and family as well as you who are so supportive in everything. I did not want you and the people I care about to worry needlessly. They were as much of a surprise to me as they were to you and I just wanted to clear that up and thank everyone for their continued love and friendship and wish you all Peace, Love, Happiness and Health for the holiday Season and the New Year.

It's a very exciting time of the year now and I love being at home getting to do all the cool normal things! Decorations are starting to go up in the towns and cities here and there's a buzz happening!
Thank you to the maireadnesbittforum for raising such a generous amount of money for Oxfam Ireland Unwrapped. It's especially at this time of year that this help is hugely beneficial to people in need and it not only alleviates pressures from day to day, but also in the long term with life sustaining programs.
So thank you for that.

Have a great Holiday Season and I will see you all in the New Year on our tour and thanks again for all the support!

Le grá,

  1. Dear Máiréad,

Wow, another blog so soon!! Thank you, and most especially for addressing some very important things.

I look forward to yet another tour in 2011 and all that you have coming up. Wonderful for folks to hear that. Yes, Lynn will be very much missed. You will continue to see plenty of support in all you do from so many familiar faces.

Yes, keeping up with posts is quite a task. I know it well! Good that whatever odd posts had shown up were taken care of. Folks get very worked up at times to be sure.

Thank you so much for the Oxfam comment. It really is amazing considering the poor economy but you do inspire so much good in so many. I know folks in your forum have generous hearts and you tap into that. God bless you for being a driving force in making a difference in the lives of others.

Enjoy all those "cool normal things" and have a beautiful holiday season.

    Peace and love, Scott

  2. You are amazing Mairead ! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with family and friends. Hope your Violin ornament comes in handy :D

    Lots of Love from Australia

  3. Thank you for the update, Máiréad. I'm so glad to hear that you are happy and doing well. With your sometimes hectic schedule I do worry about you; you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I, too, will miss the lovely Lynn and please wish her the best from me if you see her. Have a very happy Holidays and enjoy the best of times with your family and friends.

  4. Thank you Máiréad for a lovely assuring update. It is always good to know that you are doing okay and are happy. It is because of you that we are inspired to donate to such a wonderful charity even in these hard times.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and I look forward to seeing you next year.

    Take care,

  5. Máiréad,
Great to hear that you are home safely and thank you for the update. It is with great pride that we donate to Oxfam in your name. Thank you for your kind words. It has been hard to have had Alex and now Lynn take leave of the group. I have missed Alex a great deal and will now miss Lynn as well. They were both "original" members for me. It was so nice to finally have met you last summer at Bethel Woods and at Saratoga. I am honored to know you. See you in the spring.

  6. Thanks a lot for your updating its really helps and nice its good post i like it so much

  7. Hi Máiréad,

Glad to hear all is well. Same thing here in Ohio. I was walking down the street the other day and noticed about three houses already with decorations. Just seems like yesterday it was still summer. Times does go fast.

I want to wish you a safe and happy holiday season. Best wishes go out to you and your family.

    Take care

  8. Hello Máiréad,
It was so nice to hear from you so soon! I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas. Can't wait for the new album, by the way...

    Hugs from Greece!

  9. You have inspired me to learn to play the violin as my holiday present/birthday present/new years resolution to myself!:) I cannot wait to see you in March when you guys come to will be my first Celtic Woman show, and for sure I am super excited!:)

  10. Dear Máiréad,

Thank you from everyone in your forum for another wonderful year. You continue to touch so many lives and bring a ray of sunshine into them. From the performance in Berne to the finale in Brisbane you enchanted audiences on three continents.

Very sorry to hear about the problems on your guest book. Any time you have a site where people can post you have to be vigilant. The same must be said for the forum and it is a daily effort but with a certain amount of latitude. We hope there will be no more incidents on your guest book.

Thanks much for mentioning the Oxfam donation. Not that many months ago we were wondering if we'd even come close to last year let alone surpass it. It was wonderful to have people in Australia to present the check to you in person. Your kindness and care went a long way to making it happen and we are pleased that so many will benefit in your name.

It appears 2011 will be yet another exciting and busy year for you and your friends on stage. Have a restful time over this Christmas season and new year. Your forum will be there for you from beginning to end and we thank you once again for your support and willingness to share your life and talent with so many.

    All the best,

The leadership and members of the
    Máiréad Nesbitt fan forum
